Cherry Blossom (Fleurs de Cerisier) by L’Occitane

Hey Posse, Cherry Blossom is such an iconic idea. It has long been the Korean and Japanese festival marking the passage into spring. Even here in Sydney we have a dedicated Cherry Blossom Festival. My mate TinaG and I try to go to each year. They don’t really have much scent to my nose. I love the way fragrance has decided that they smell a bit like a bunch of things that are only slightly related. So what I get from most these scents is a capturing of a spring dream. Maybe a sakura fantasy, if you will. Ann like L’Occitane too.

Firstly, I’m only talking about the Shower Gel and Hand Cream today. Sorry if you want a perfume review, I’ve not even smelled it. In fact Cherry Blossom had completely passed me by until my birthday last year when I received a bottle of the shower gel. Suddenly I couldn’t get enough of the shimmering cherry/blackcurrant/amber scent while taking my bubble bath. It also ties in nicely with my 40ml bottle of DIOR Prive Sakura. Can we also talk about how gorgeous that bottle is? Love it.

Then I was gifted a L’Occitane Advent Calendar in December and it came with a little Hand Cream! It’s almost finished because I love the puff of pettiness it gives at any time of the day. To be honest, you can tell my hands have rarely had to do a whit of real work. They are soft and callous free. Once I add the Cherry Blossom Hand cream though they are ultra velvety and smell amazing. This will definitely be a repurchase, they even have a LE 150ml tube available here in Oz.

So affordable compared to many aspirationally priced products that are less lovely, or all about the packaging and label.

What bath and body products do you swear by?
